Getting started

From an empty grid to your first running agent takes about a minute.

Twenty seconds, start to finish: click an empty tile, ⌘P, pick a project, the agent picks up where it left off. Then + for a second sheet.

1. Tell it where your projects are

Open Preferences (the gear on the toolbar, or ⌘,) and go to Projects. Add the folders you keep projects in. Deck View scans them a few levels deep and finds anything with a CLAUDE.md or an agent marker file.

2. Put a project in a tile

Click an empty tile, or press ⌘P. Type a few letters of the project name and press Enter. The tile opens a shell in that folder.

3. Start the agent

Press ⚡ on the tile header to start the agent fresh, or ↺ to pick a previous session to resume. If you want a session back exactly as it was, with its trust and MCP prompts already answered, that is ⏩ Resume as-is.

The first time a folder is opened, Claude Code asks whether you trust it. That prompt is yours to answer. Nothing in Deck View answers it for you unless you have set that up yourself under Agent access.

4. Add more

Fill more tiles the same way. When the sheet is full, press + at the right of the tab bar for a new one. Close Deck View whenever you like: the sessions keep running in the background and reattach when you come back.
